Shell Material The Shoei N X R 's shell is made of Shoei's Advanced Integrated Matrix (AIM) composite material. Shoei's AIM shells feature quality construction, and they are composed of multiple layers of fiberglass and composite fiber. These materials come together to create a very light yet strong helmet, which is a unique property of Shoei's AIM material. Thanks to Shoei's wind tunnel facility, the NXR also has a very aerodynamic form. For fitment, the NXR sports helmet uses a double D-ring chin strap with stainless steel rings to ensure that the helmet stays properly on your head. For comfort, the helmet will have an intermediate oval head fit and it comes in 4 outer shell sizes. Lastly, the NXR is another safe helmet from Shoei with dual layer multi-density EPS, and it has received 4/5 stars from SHARP and it is ECE 22.05 rated. Ventilation For a helmet based on Shoei's top tier design, the NXR unsurprisingly offers amazing ventilation with its 4 adjustable forward-facing vents. The chin bar features the first air intake, which, when opened, will direct cooling air into the helmet and on the visor. There are a further 3 air inlets in the forehead that will also feed more air into the helmet's EPS grooves to create a comfortable breeze.
